Fiona is trained as a classical singer and has sung in many musical theatre and operatic productions. Her live performances have been recorded and broadcast nationally on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and her ‘Celtic-fusion’ recordings have been
sold in Europe and in North America, with extensive airplay and great reviews.

 


Singing aboard an Alaskan Cruise ship

In the past few years, Fiona’s varied musical career has led her to singing aboard an Alaskan Cruise ship, touring North America and the Orient with the incomparable Vancouver Chamber Choir and performing with some of Canada’s leading ensembles and conductors.

Fiona vast repertoire includes everything from Monteverdi madrigals to
operatic arias of Menotti & Mozart; from folksongs to Flanders & Swann; Gregorian Chant to Gilbert & Sullivan.

As the Countess Ceprano, from Verdi’s Rigoletto, Dennis O’Neill as the Duke and Leroy Jameson as Count Ceprano, Vancouver Opera
Fiona has two recordings of Celtic music to her name. The success of Land of Passages, one of Max Ferguson’s favourite recordings (of CBC fame), led to a second recording, Lark in the Morning.
